Leg lengthening – the thing with muscle tension, urgently needed stretching exercises

Stretching, stretching exercises, stretching – this is of fundamental importance for a leg lengthening process. Why is that?

Imagine that every person has a certain degree of flexibility in their muscles. If you lengthen a bone, the muscles around the bone must logically also become longer. If the muscles remained the same and the bones became longer, that would mean that the hips would tilt forward, the knees would bend, and the legs would move into an O or X position.

Conclusion: When leg lengthening, the muscles must be lengthened to the same extent as the bones. How do you do that? Quite simply – through targeted and, above all, regular, repeated stretching exercises every day.

As leg lengthening specialists, we recommend the following stretching routines after a lengthening

For thigh lengthening

  • A stretching session should last 1 – 1.5 hours.
  • Start with a small stretching session in the morning, after getting up, after breakfast – before clicking.
  • After clicking – stretching again.
  • A big stretching session before lunch. Before the big stretching session, we recommend a training session on the bike/home trainer/ergo trainer to warm up the muscles.
  • Afternoon gait training e.g. E.g. walking, walking with sticks or swimming or ergometer
  • Early evening – late evening – big stretching session before bed. This extends the time for a good night’s sleep without strong muscle tension.

 

This program is the minimum – feel free to do more and more short stretching exercises – preferably 4 – 6 hours spread throughout the day.

When it comes to lower leg lengthening, continuous stretching exercises spread throughout the day are important. And like a thigh lengthening, have a big stretching session in the evening.
